Bob Spady Is Nebraska’s TMQDA Nominee
Bob Spady, President of Bob Spady, Inc., was named a recipient of the 2008 TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA). The announcement was made by TIME and the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company during the NADA convention in San Francisco on February 9th. Bob is one of only 51 automobile dealers from more than 19,500 nationwide nominated for the 39th annual award. Sponsored by TIME Magazine in association with Goodyear and in cooperation with NADA, the TMQDA program recognizes outstanding new car dealers for exceptional performance in their dealerships and distinguished community service. TMQDA finalists are selected by a panel of faculty members from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration. In addition to his business successes, Bob and his dealership have supported a wide range of organizations and causes including serving on the boards of the chamber of commerce, Nebraskaland Days, Nebraska DMV Industry Licensing Board, and the Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation.

Bob Spady opened his Buick-Pontiac-GMC new car dealership here in North Platte, Nebraska in 1989. Since that year he has become a proud member of this community, as well as an activist in many community organizations. Bob and his dealership have been recognized and won countless awards for many different activities they have been involved in. Currently he is a member of the noon Rotary Club and Past Board Member, a Member of the North Platte Ambassadors and a Past President, Member of the Nebraskaland Day and is Past President, Past Board Member of North Platte Chamber, Board Member Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation, Past Member of Motor Vehicles Licensing Board, a Past Board Member of the United Way, a Devoted husband of 40 years, and a proud father of 2 beautiful daughters.

Cars have been in Bob Spady's Blood all his life. He was born and raised in Hastings, 
Nebraska and graduated from Hastings Senior High. From an early age, Bob was down at his father's car dealership. His father bought an Oldsmobile Dealership in 1955. Bob and all his brothers began working in all of the aspects of the dealership, from washing cars to selling cars. Eventually all of the brothers ended up owning their own dealerships and now even a few of Bob's Nephews have their own dealerships as well. Even Bob's 2 daughters work at his dealership and one of his daughter's husbands. It truly has been a family business!
